Why Public Health Matters

We believe that it’s imperative that the hard work of big city public health departments should be acknowledged every day. Over the last few months, in particular, public health professionals have been working to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect their communities as best they can.

We are proud to join a new effort to hear stories directly from public health professionals through short videos. The website whypublichealthmatters.org allows anyone to record and upload a video testimonial about their COVID-19 story. You can watch the videos from BCHC members here. We invite you to share these videos and record your own video.
