BCHC and Prevention Institute commend Senator Feinstein and Representative Cicilline for introducing the Assault Weapons Ban act (S.25/H.R.698). We urge them to continue to use every opportunity to advance more comprehensive strategies to address gun violence and achieve community safety. A public health approach implores us to address the root causes of violence to break the cycle, so we can all live, work, learn, and play in our communities without fear of harm towards us or our loved ones.
