PAHPA should be reauthorized this year to be able to respond to health security threats

BCHC signed onto a letter led by John Hopkins Center for Health Security about the urgent need to reauthorize the Pandemic and All-hazards Preparedness Act (PAHPA). PAHPA is set to expire September 30, 2023, and if that deadline is not met, the next opportunity for reauthorization will not be resumed until 2024, an election year. This would have serious effects on our country’s economic, national, and health security.
