Measles in Big Cities Health Jurisdictions

Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen confirmed that a one-year old who was being tested for measles does not have the virus.
Boston hospitals are on alert for possible measles cases. Massachusetts has one of the highest immunization rates in the country.
An infant who attended the daycare at the center of the Illinois measles outbreak is the 14th person to be infected with measles in the state.
There are no cases in Dallas, but health providers have been put on alert. One case has been confirmed in neighboring Tarrant County (Fort Worth) and was linked to travel to India.
One case linked to the Disneyland outbreak was treated on January 3, 2015. Patients who came in contact with the infected patient were quarantined for 21 days.
There has been one confirmed case in Oakland County, located in the northwest quadrant of the Detroit metro area.
Fulton County (Atlanta)
The Georgia Department of Public Health has confirmed the first case of measles in the state since 2012. The patient is an infant who arrived in Atlanta after overseas travel.
No cases of measles have been reported in Houston, but the Texas Department of State Health Services has put health care providers and public health officials on alert.
Los Angeles County
21 cases have been confirmed, and 700 people who may have been exposed to the measles virus are currently being monitored.
Maricopa County (Phoenix)
Arizona has seven confirmed cases of measles, and 1000 individuals who may have been exposed as part of the Disneyland outbreak are being tracked. Residents who may have been exposed or have not been vaccinated are being asked to stay home for twenty-one days.
No measles cases have been reported in Miami-Dade County. According to Miami-Dade County Public Schools, 98% of public school students are vaccinated.
New York City
A New York college student, who is now in isolation, may have exposed Amtrak passengers to the virus traveling north out of Penn Station.No measles cases have been reported within New York City.
No cases of measles have been reported in Philadelphia.
No cases of measles have been reported in San Antonio. The Texas Department of State Health Services has put health care providers and public health officials on alert.
San Diego County
There are 13 confirmed cases of measles in San Diego County.
Bay Area Rapid Transit riders may have been exposed to measles from an infected passenger. There have been 15 confirmed cases in the Bay Area.
Santa Clara County (San Jose)
There are fifteen confirmed cases of measles in the Bay Area, two of which are in Santa Clara County.
Seattle & King County
A brother and sister were both confirmed to be infected with measles on January 20; those who came in contact with the siblings are being monitored. An infected Brazilian international traveler was in Seattle while contagious.
There are two confirmed cases of measles in Washington, D.C., but neither are related to the Disneyland outbreak.
