PUBLIC HEALTH + THE BUDGET

Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stands to lose at least $314 million in the most recent draft of the White House's budget. These funds are essential to America's city, county, state, and tribal health departments that work every day to protect and promote health and well being for all people in their communities.

The table below shows the proposed cuts the White House recently presented to Congress, and the potential damage that could be done to disease research, disaster preparedness and outbreak response.
